Pabalhas Community Run Brings Fun and Creativity to Atria Park District with “Wrong Outfit Edition”
Instead of the usual running attire, participants were encouraged to show up wearing outfits that looked completely out of place at a running event. From creative costumes and themed outfits to hilarious and unexpected looks, runners brought their own personalities to the starting line and made the morning even more memorable.
The community run featured a 5-kilometer route starting from Atria Park District and heading toward the Iloilo River Esplanade before returning to the event area. Hundreds of participants took on the route together, creating a lively atmosphere filled with energy, laughter, and camaraderie.
More than just completing the 5K, the event was designed to bring the running community together through fun activities after the run. Participants joined both running group games and individual challenges, giving everyone another opportunity to interact, compete, and enjoy the morning with fellow runners.
One of the highlights of the event was the Best in Costume competition, where participants showed just how creative they could get with the Wrong Outfit theme. Winners were recognized in both the Male and Female Best in Costume categories, celebrating those who stood out with some of the most entertaining and creative outfits of the day.
The August edition once again reflected what the Pabalhas Community Run is all about — creating an accessible and enjoyable space where people can stay active, meet fellow runners, and simply have fun.
Whether participants came with their running groups, friends, families, or joined individually, everyone shared the same experience of moving together and being part of a growing local running community.
